Network Hardening

A network, being a collection of computers and other electronic devices, should be protected from all ends. Not just those that you can easily see and interact with. With network hardening comes many challenges seeing as you have to harden every facet of the network and the network is only as strong as the weakest point. Knowing this, we have come up with a solid plan of action when it comes to network hardening. One that was cultivated using our many years of experience protecting and hardening the networks of the customers that we serve.

Some of the major points when it comes to network hardening include:

  • Securing Wi-Fi and making sure only authorized devices can connect to it
  • Monitoring all traffic on the network using enterprise firewalls
  • Secure structured cabling with locked communication rooms
  • Network authentication (ex. Domain Controller)
  • Workplace policies that mandate good security practices
  • Monitored and managed antivirus on all machines
