Relay for Life 2012

Brooksville, FL April 27-2830th. The Brooksville Rotary Club was one of many teams participating in
the annual American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life held at Hernando High School this past weekend,
April 27-28. The Team was led by Karen Van Sickle (Charles Rutenberg Realty) along with Jim Tremmel .
Members of their family assisted as well.

Fundraising efforts by the Brooksville Rotarians included a raffle for a 55” screen TV and scrumptious
hot dogs made by Rotarian Jim Tremmel. MMMMGood!

Last year, the Brooksville Rotary Club raised $5895. This year, total monies raised (TV raffle and hotdogs) were just over $4100. Rotary’s top fundraiser was Brande Sanders (Edwards Financial) who raised over $2065 herself. Way to go!!

Relay for Life is a life-changing event that brings together more than 3.5 million people across the country each year to celebrate the lives of those who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against a disease that takes too much.

Rotary is an organization of business and professional persons united worldwide who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build good will and peace in the world. Brooksville Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at noon at the Brooksville Country
